Lady Gaga Cups of Kindness Collection Drink Review
Today, I decided to try something different that’s only at Starbucks for a limited time offer. From June 13- June 19, Starbucks will be donating 25 cents to Lady Gaga’s foundation, Born This Way foundation. It is called the Cups of Kindness Collection so I thought I may as well do a review. My coworkers were telling me about this beverage and I knew I had to try at least one before their gone. The drinks are visually pleasing and great for anyone with an Instagram account!
Starbucks just released the four flavours and their going viral!
The Four Flavours:
Matcha Lemonade: A tasty green drink, made with finely ground Teavana matcha green tea with lemonade shaken with ice.
Violet : (pictures below) The drink has sweet blackberries and tart hibiscus of Very Berry Hibiscus Starbucks Refreshers Beverage swirl together with creamy coconut milk and ice.
Ombré Pink Drink: A refreshing beverage that combines light, fruity Cool Lime Starbucks Refreshers Beverage with cool, creamy coconut milk and a splash of Teavana Shaken Iced Passion Tango Tea and a lime wheel.
Pink Drink: Sweet strawberry flavours of Strawberry Acai Refreshers with accents of passion fruit and acai combined with coconut milk, and topped with a scoop of strawberries.
Born this way foundation supports youth wellness and talks about mental health, positive environment and spreading the word of kindness. Born This Way Foundation want young people to embrace who they are and be fearless when it comes to putting their voices out there. It’s a reminder that if we speak out people are here to listen. For every drink sold, Starbucks will be donating 25 cents to the Born This Way charity.
Lady Gaga even spoke to the Prince of Cambridge regarding mental health issues earlier this year.
I decided to try the Violet Drink, I was expecting it to be sweet but I was delightfully surprised to try this refreshing beverage as it was very subtle and more bitter than anything.
I even decided to try the “sweet blackberries” that were mixed with the drink and it didn’t taste like a blackberry at all. I was a little put off by it.
Overall the drink was quite delightful and what made it even better is that it’s less than 150 calories, so not only do you support an excellent charity but it’s doesn’t effect your daily calorie intake.
